Dashboard: Getting started



The Dashboard provides a user interface that allows you to manage and configure your SlimPay merchant account. You can use it to manage payment and refund transactions (card and direct debit), manage recurring payments, get transaction reporting, etc.

Your Slimpay account is accessible through three different interfaces:


User interface







API (File API)

Each interface has its own authentication system and its own logins:

  • Login and password for your Dashboard (provided by SlimPay)
    App ID and App Secret to
    access to the Web API
  • Public key to access to the File API
  • SFTP: if specified in the contract, a request must be made to the Customer Success team ( to configure the public key

To access the platforms, simply enter your email on the relevant environment (pre-production or production) to generate your password.

The Administrator logins will be provided by the Customer Success team. The Administrator profile must then invite their team members.

Sandbox account access (pre-production environment)

Once you have signed your SlimPay contract, you will be given access to two environments: the pre-production (to test) and the production environment (to do your actual operations). 

Your API test logins allow you to familiarize yourself with the solution and understand how it works. You can create orders, such as initiating a direct debit or signing a mandate.

Once your test account is created, you will receive:

  • Gateway ID (or creditor reference)
  • App ID

You also need to generate your App Secret, via the Dashboard.

This information will allow you to connect to the API in pre-production to perform your tests.


Production account access (production environment)

Your production login allows you to perform real operations.

Just like on pre-production, as soon as your production account is created, you will receive: 

  • Gateway ID (or creditor reference)

  • App ID

You also need to generate your App Secret, via the Dashboard.

This information will allow you to connect to the API in production to manage your business.

Problems connecting or accessing the Dashboard

If you are unable to log into the Dashboard, please follow these instructions:

  • Enter the password and avoid using copy/paste.

  • Clear your browser's cache. 


Pre-production (or test)

If you are still unable to connect, please send a request to

If you forget your password for either environments, simply click on Forgot password? > Enter your email > Reset your password. A reset password email will be sent to the email address we have on record.

mceclip0.pngHow do I generate an App Secret? 

To modify your App Secret, login to your SlimPay account, then click on the Settings (wheel icon) > App Management > Modify > Generate > Modify App. 






Add team members

As Admin, you must invite your team members to the Dashboard and choose a pre-defined role from the list. Go to Settings (wheel icon) > Team > Create.
